Meet Karrin Lukacs, Founding Unicorn.

Karrin (pronounced car-in) is an experienced educator and professional development leader with expertise in designing programs that foster professional growth, collaboration, and innovation.

Karrin has a strong record of creating engaging learning experiences, supporting excellence, and guiding individuals and teams in achieving their goals. Her work is grounded in a commitment to cultivating inclusive, forward-thinking environments where everyone can thrive.

Karrin is a big fan of design thinking, so her favorite projects often begin with the question, “How might we…?” In addition to earning a PhD in Education, highlights of her professional journey include being a / an:

  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD);

  • Certified instructional Designer (OLC);

  • Google Certified Innovator; and

  • Apple Distinguished Educator.

Meet Trenna Valado, Unicorn Sister.

Trenna (tren-ah) is a research and evaluation expert skilled at translating data into practice, policy, and strategy insights that drive sustainable, equitable change.

Trenna spent two decades helping leaders across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors build meaningful measurement systems and equip staff to use data effectively. All her work is grounded in principles of applied anthropology, reflecting a deep sensitivity to contextual factors and the wider systems that shape individual experience.

Trenna combines emotional intelligence with technical expertise, helping organizations bridge people and technology to make mission-critical, data-informed decisions. One of her favorite catchphrases is “let’s go back to the end again,” a reminder to recenter on the shared goal(s) in any endeavor.

Trenna holds a PhD in anthropology along with several professional certifications:
